**CRS Request for Proposal** **RFP#2019728** Dear Sir/Madam, ## Subject: Request for Proposal: Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is the official international humanitarian and development agency of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Founded in 1943, CRS works in more than 100 countries to save lives, alleviate poverty, and help communities build resilience and sustainable livelihoods. Guided by Catholic social teaching, CRS partners with local organizations, governments, faith-based institutions, and communities to deliver programs in emergency response, health, agriculture, education, peacebuilding, and economic development, serving people based on need regardless of race, religion, or nationality. 1. **Objective:** As part of the global support provided to the government in Syria, CRS is seeking to establish a roster of consultants with expertise in climate change and adaptation, as well as strong local knowledge and experience in the region, to support the design and implementation of its climate strategy and develop a specific, well-substantiated program design for Green Climate Fund (GCF) and other climate-related financing opportunities. Assignments may include program design and proposal development, research and assessments, training and capacity strengthening, and strategic technical advisory support. Specific tasks will vary depending on the assignment and may include literature reviews, research and analytical studies, technical guidance, learning products, proposal development support, and the implementation of climate-related initiatives.
